Issue #129 – Give It A Try
Thanks for e-mailing in to let us know which city you live in. We just opened TW.San Diego, our fourth city group for women. You can also find us in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. Our city groups will serve as our own private, vetted local guides to share tips on services, restaurants, events, and more. It’s a throwback to our Splendora days when we used to track down the best in every city. Now it’s a collective effort. Even better.
The What List

The Show. The Circus is a smart, biting political reality TV show in its third season. You don’t have to worry about previous seasons because it’s current behind-the-scenes coverage. It’s ambitious, addictive, and a must-watch even if (especially if) you’re not interested in politics.
The Now. We always talk about meditating. In fact, we have stacks of books on our desk like Why Buddhism Is True and Real Love: The Art of Mindful Connection. But, after listening to friends’ life-changing stories combined with the high period of stress we’re entering as The What starts to grow, we decided to stop thinking about it and start meditating. We’re starting with 15 minutes first thing in the morning and 15 minutes right before bed. Want to be part of our meditation accountability circle? Join us here.
The Launch. Lily Kanter, our brilliant friend of nearly 20 years, has a new company combining purpose and fabulous products with a powerful platform called Boon Supply Co. How often, especially before summer, are we in search of well-made beach totes, cook’s tools, entertaining supplies, and stylish accessories? Well, now we can stock up while giving 50% (yes, FIFTY!) to a cause of our choice. Today we highlight the non-profit 826 Valencia, co-founded by Dave Eggers, dedicated to supporting students with their writing skills. The What will be partnering with Boon Supply in the future but today it’s all about celebrating our friend Lily and a cause we love: Shop to benefit 826 Valencia!
The Food. Blue Pasta is the latest food trend that we actually want to try. If it tastes as good as it looks, we’ll be serving this up with a side of scampi.
The Weigh. Last week at Near Future Summit, we learned about a beautiful, positive movement happening on Instagram. Started by actress Jameela Jamil, iWeigh is a compassionate campaign to end fat shaming and a way for women and girls to celebrate their real assets. Follow here.
