Issue #169 – Good Things Ahead
Spring Equinox begins today at 2:58 PM Pacific Time, which means the official start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and 12 hours of sunshine today (or rain in our case) and 12 hours of darkness tonight. It’s also the super worm equinox moon tonight so look up from your devices and revel in its super splendor. Mercury in retrograde be damned. It’s time to spring out of this chaos.
THE WHAT LIST

While reorganizing our editorial bookmarks, we rediscovered one of our most favorite sites on the web: Dear Photograph.
Linda Lack, a 70-year old dancer, and Inksap, a 24-year old street artist, are taking the Hollywood guerilla art scene by storm in what Lack calls “cosmic choreography.” It’s a great story and good reminder of the importance of diversity in age, race, gender, and geography.
gold/dust is “a nice little letter in your inbox pointing you to creative work from women, non-binary and trans people of color.” Even if you don’t identify with any of these groups there is so much creative inspiration and freshness to relish in. It’s how we discovered and fell in love with this 80s-inspired video by Lizzo.
We were raving about Russian Doll and a friend rolled her eyes and pronounced it ‘so last year’. Fair enough. Memorizing Pi puts a drain on the free time around here. Our next binge, also from last year, is DERRY GIRLS set in 90s Northern Ireland and described by Cosmo as ‘Gossip Girl if Blair Waldorf was Irish, broke, and drank a lot.’ Sounds like a perfect plot.
