Issue #19 Your Eating Homework + The Sleep Secret + GP’s Geeky Talent
We’ve barely adjusted to Daylight Savings Time and now Spring officially arrives this weekend. After many failed attempts (the hazard of working in Napa once a week) we finally managed to start the Clean program to reset hibernation habits. It’s not as fun as morning wine tastings but every body needs a good Spring cleaning. As for your space? When in doubt, toss it out (in a sustainable way of course).
The What List
March 16, 2016
by Gina Pell + Amy Parker
The Dirt — We obsessively wash our bodies and strip our skin microbiome of healthy bacteria. Mother Dirt has a mission to get you dirty again. I met the co-founder last week whose skin is so strikingly luminous, I’ll believe anything he says. We’re trying the facial spray asap.
The Stuff — Social Studies is a chic boutique for women and men with an eclectic mix of fashion and other goodies.
The Cooks — Every Spring cookbook that matters according to Eater.
The Book — Arianna Huffington’s new book The Sleep Revolution puts an end to the cycle of feeling sick and tired.
The Pi — In honor of Pi Day I recited Pi to 53 digits. Unimpressed, my 10-year old challenged me to 100 digits. Here’s my geeky proof.
The Friend — Please watch the Hero Shop campaign on Indiegogo by our friend Emily Holt, a former fashion editor at Vogue and WWD who is launching a Colette-style boutique in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. Read Emily’s answers to our 11 Q’s here.
