100% Editorial picks. No pay for play. Ever.
The Books — The long-awaited Summer Reading List is a work-in-progress so check back often. We’ve organized them into two camps: tW Editor’s Picks Fiction and tW Reader’s Picks Non-Fiction with over 90 titles suggested by our group members.
The Beauty — Summer skin needs extra help so we’ve compiled an on-going list of everything our readers and we love. Check out tW Summer Skin Secrets on Pinterest.
The Apps — Aside from the usual suspects of utility-based Apps on our phones, a resourceful reader started a thread on other useful Apps. Here’s a list 60+ Apps you might find useful.
The Cause — We have long been independent publishers and fully support other indie voices out there. McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, a daily humor site started by Dave Eggers in 1998, is one of the finest of its kind. GP is on the Board and has been a supporter for years. Please help McSweeney’s continue its mission to delight by becoming a monthly patron. Watch this video and contribute to the preservation of high quality laughter.
The Lab — We are spending the next week compiling the results of The What Lab Report, all of the products we’ve been testing over the past 6 months. After speaking to our doctors and several health professionals, we’re steering away from talking about any supplements or “new age” treatments that do not have double blind, randomized, controlled Phase III clinical trials. There’s so much quackery out there and while we’ve always supported Goopand believe they get unfairly criticized, we never want an interview like this one with Gwyneth Paltrow on Jimmy Kimmel last week.
