The Drink — It’s cranberry season. Let’s mix them with liquor. Here’s the only holiday cocktail you’ll ever need.
The Meal — Savory stuffed pumpkin is the show stopping side dish our foodie friend Trisha is bringing to Thanksgiving.
The Show — Doll & Em is a comedy series on HBO that features the fictionalized but real life friendship of actress Emily Mortimer and Dolly Wells. If you have an inseparable BFF in your life, chances are you’ll love it.
The Cure — I’m glued to a screen 24/7 so a renowned PT prescribed daily Theracane to release tight muscles. I now give myself a pressure point massage at my desk. True, the cane looks like an infomercial gimmick but it feels utterly ahhhh-mazing.
The Wear — Bandier. Edgier, out of the ordinary, high end athletic wear.
The Where — I visited Iceland for the first time last summer and long to return. This winter, I’d love to see the aurora borealis from the lobby of this hotel.
The News — Nobody delivers a more insightful, razor sharp round up of the news than NextDraft written by my husband Dave Pell. It’s read by every major news editor in the U.S. and some of the smartest people in the world. Subscribe here.
The Lab — Last week I wrote about the Seed Rotation Diet, a natural way to balance hormones and soothe the beast. We received over a hundred emails asking for more information so Amy & I made a video in my kitchen to explain how and what you need to start. Watch it on our Fb page here.
The What? — The Mewgaroo Dog and Cat carrier hoodie is a goofy (but rather ingenious) product. I’d get one for Amy but she has Labradors. To my inseparable Z, one is already on its way for you and Tofu.

The Artist — Every week we will feature watercolors and illustration by Forsyth Harmon, a striking New York artist and friend who is currently working on our logo and identity. Forsyth’s illustrations will soon be available as textable emoji on LOLy.
The Red — 2002 Clos Dominic $17.99. Amy lives in Napa, hence we crack a bottle as research for each issue.
The Read — Mark Manson’s article on passion sums up our philosophy on forging our own reality. It’s an inspiring punch to the gut.
The Meal — The miraculous One Pot Pasta. You’ll never strain noodles again.
The Show — Chef’s Table on Netflix is a sumptuous documentary series from the director of Jiro Dreams of Sushi.
The Shoe — The Hoka One One Bondi 4 is the greatest athletic shoe I’ve ever owned. Rehabbed my injured knee, adds almost 2″ of height, and feels like walking on a cloud.
The Wear — Totokaeleo, purveryors of thoughtfully curated fashion for women and men, is where I go to find Rick Owens on sale.
The Change — The Seed Cycling Diet naturally balances hormones, aids digestion, and reduces PMS tantrums, not to mention a side effect is weight loss. My MD friend Leila turned me on to it and it works. Good for men too but be sure to grind seeds fresh.
The Pills — Amy swears by Vitamedica Vitamins. Here’s a video I made when we were at Joyus. We make zero dollars on this so there’s no self-interest here.
The Letter — Lena Dunham & Jenni Konner are two other best friends doing something good. Their Lenny Letter is intelligent, politicial, feminist, hilarious, and all around badass. Subscribe here.
